Premonition is a movie that was released in 2016. It is about a boy who has the ability to see into the future and he sees his death.
The is the movie premonition based on a true story is a question that many people have been asking.
Premonition isn’t so much about warp drive as it is about seeing the future without having to pay for it. We’ll never know if it’s all a hallucination or a memory clouded by stress since the movie doesn’t tell us.
Before you watch, here’s everything you need to know.

We know that Linda Hanson learns on Wednesday that her husband died in a horrific vehicle crash on Tuesday, that it took the authorities a day-and-a-half to get her the news despite him being just under a half-drive hour’s from the house, and that when she wakes up on Thursday, he’s still alive and napping in a cot next to her, leading her to conclude, as any rational thinker would, that the day she lived yesterday must have been a nightmare.
Despite swapping days with Jim (Julian McMahon) and alternating between the living and dead identities for the next several days, her memory of every day lived is perfect.
The Movie’s Increasing Action
She survives his cremation and enjoys a relaxing Sunday afternoon at home. Gradually, she begins to doubt that these weeks are hallucinations, and the people she meets, such as Clair (Amber Valletta), Jim’s beautiful rookie assistant, and Dr. Norman Roth (Peter Stormare), the therapist she sees to discover whether she is crazy, begin to make sense.
She completes the puzzle, which leads her to some disturbing, though self-evident, truths about Jim, as well as some moral implications for her. The film’s conclusion is dramatic and almost heartbreaking, and it’s not what you’d expect.
The birds and the Felix the Cat clock have a weird connotation that doesn’t always make sense. Julian McMahon was an odd pick for Jim since he had almost no screen chemistry with Sandra Bullock. He displays cold contempt while she clings to him like a lovesick infant. Despite their total lack of compatibility, these two are reported to have produced two beautiful little daughters, portrayed by Shyann McClure and Courtney Taylor Burness, respectively. At some time in her career, her alter ego may have had an affair with Keanu Reeves.

She doesn’t seem like the kind to be content with being a stay-at-home, minivan-driving, housework-doing mom. If the film had been set in 1950, the whole concept would most likely have worked. There’s Kate Nelligan’s odd portrayal of her cold and distant mother, Joanne—who, by the way, isn’t anywhere close to being Sandra Bullock’s parent and certainly didn’t sound this way. Rather of portraying the mother, she represents the mother-in-law.
She isn’t your typical glowing grandmother, beaming with joy over her daughter’s life, children, and seemingly ideal home; nor is Peter Stormare’s disturbing portrayal of Dr. Norman Roth. He had no intention of portraying this guy as a jerk. He’s played so many criminals, killers, and terrible guys throughout the years that it’s time to take off the armor.
But, in the end, the film reveals its surprise too soon, even in the teaser, and so the ‘good times’ of it are gone, leaving just the mystery of how the prognostications work and how Linda begins to uncover information to be revealed.
The premonition movie theories is a film that has been receiving mixed reviews. There are some people who believe that the film is not worth watching because of the many plot twists. Other people think it’s an amazing film and it’s worth seeing in theaters.
